WORLD IMPORTED CAR SERVICE NEWS AND INFORMATION

An Important Economic message

Dear Valued Customer,

The international financial crisis is weighing heavily on all of us. As you know, the automotive industry has been especially impacted.  As consumers, one factor that we all need to consider is the stability of the companies with whom we do business. In the current economic climate, many automotive service providers  will stumble and some will even fail. For that reason, I personally want to explain World Imported Car Service's unique situation.

Our family started this business in 1968 and had the good fortune to be able to purchase the property on which our business operates.  In addition, since we have been in business for such a long time, we have very predictable and controllable costs.  We have been able to invest more of our revenues back into the business in the form of state of the art modern tools and up-to-date vehicle training for our technicians. This has allowed us to keep our labor rate relatively low and provide an excellent value to our customers.

When choosing a car service center in times like these, you need to be certain that the repair facility will be around to stand behind their work.  We know that you expect guarantees, warranties and "true value" when you service your vehicle with us and we have positioned our company to deliver without compromise on all of these important elements. As repair shops go, World Imported Car Service  is a solid as a rock!  We have no debt, a perfect credit rating and the legacy of an established second generation family business. Therefore, we will be around to serve you as we have served many thousands of customers for the past 40 years and throughout the last four recessions.

Choosing World Imported Car Service means you are selecting a company that will help maintain and repair your significant vehicle investment now and in the future. I hope that you'll give World Imported Car Service a chance to exceed your expectations. I thank you for your time and, most importantly, for doing business with us!

Sincerely,
Eric Johnson

Fall Newsletter

The days are getting shorter and the time may be right to begin thinking about winterizing your car. Our mild California climate is easier on our vehicles than our neighbors in other states, but some common sense checks and adjustments can prevent problems and provide a greater measure of safety for the cold and rainy months to come.   Your vehicle’s tires, lights and  wiper and washer system are first on the list. Since it will be darker earlier your vehicle lights and instrument lamps play a necessary part in safe vehicle operation. Improper aiming of headlamps or fog lamps can greatly reduce your ability to see objects in front of your car. Marker lamps and brake lights should all be checked and replaced as necessary to ensure other drivers can see you.  Tires should be checked for adequate tread depth and condition to ensure traction on wet road surfaces. This can be especially critical as the first rains of the year can make the road surface especially treacherous. Wipers, should be able to provide a smear and streak free pass across the glass. The heater and defroster and used much more in the winter and can suffer from leaves and dirt accumulation in the ducts that can cause water to leak into the car. The sunroof drains can also suffer from similar intrusion. Many vehicles today use some sort of cabin filter to ensure the heater system doesn’t ingest this kind of material, but that filter can be blocked with debris and vastly reduce the amount of air flow available for your defroster.   It may be a good time to put some sort of fuel additive into the fuel tank to help absorb water that may have accumulated in the tank over the summer through condensation.   Your radiator fluid should be checked to determine if it has the necessary freeze protection necessary for cold weather. This is even more important if you intend to go up to the mountains this winter for skiing or other winter recreation.  If you have further questions about winterizing your car, don’t hesitate to call or e-mail us, or call today for an appointment so we can make sure your car is in tip-top shape.
